Vintage Rare Original French WW1 Trench Mirror With Bracket. Maker Marked

Here for sale is a Vintage Rare Original French WW1 Trench Mirror With Bracket. This is a very rare French trench mirror also known as a 303 Smile mirror. The lid is stamped with Secretan Paris Brevete SGCC, although this has faded. The mirror was intended to be attached to the rifle bayonet with its integral bracket on the mirrors rear for observation purposes from trench positions. Heavy casualties had been sustained before these mirrors were issued.

The case does have good signs of age related patina as per photos. The mirror has a crack to top right hand corner and a chip to top left hand corner.
