This is a delightful Vintage, Large, French, Papier-mâché. Wine / Fruit Bowl With The Inscription'Bordeaux 1928' To The Centre. This lovely papier-mâché circular bowl is solid and sturdy, obviously hand made due to the gentle inconsistency of the base and sides, the interior having a wine bottle influence, a leaf design to the sides with'Bordeaux 1928' clearly seem to the interior base all in shades of green, beige, brown and black within a burgundy background.
Standing elegantly at approximately 7.5cm high has an outer rim diameter of 50-51cm and weighs 1.3kgs. Considering it's age this adorable bowl is in overall good condition with no holes, splits or apparent defects, the design and lettering is clearly identified adding to its authenticity.
