This is a lovely and finely rendered Vintage Mid Century Modern French Impressionist Seascape Oil Painting on canvas, by renowned French - Dutch modernist Leon Corbeau 1931 -? This work depicts a very detailed and dynamic French harbor scene, with steamer vessels, small boats, and heavy crane machinery depicted under a fantastically detailed sky at sunset. Signed: "Corbeau" in the lower left corner.
Approximately 15 1/2 x 29 1/2 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 20 x 24 inches. Good condition for age, with fine craquelure in some places, and one tiny and unnoticeable tear in the lower left corner please see photos.
