Charming vintage French oil on board depicts an old woman holding a white cat and seated in an armchair beside a fireplace where logs and a brass andiron are visible. A clock underneath a glass dome and a candelabra are on the mantel.

The walls are adorned with paintings, photographs and a crucifix with blessed boxwood from Palm Sunday above it. Table with two books is on the righthand side. Is signed in the lower lefthand corner, along one of the planks in the floor. The signature is difficult to read and could not be identified. This painting is in very good condition.
