Original Vintage Pablo Picasso 1962 French Travel Poster Cote D'Azur

The French Riviera has always a popular travel destination and not just for the French. In this delightful image created for the Tourist Bureau, one of Pablo Picasso's images is used to suggest a visit to the Cote D'Azur or Riviera, site of the Film Festival and many other popular activities. This same image was printed using the text Cannes as well. It is the version with Cannes that is very rare. The viewer is shown the lure of the Mediterranean as well as the tranquility of the area. A similar style of image was also created by Henri Matisse with the title of Nice Travail et Joie. Both Picasso and Matisse lived in the area for many years. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.
