CONDITION: (A-) Fine - tiny imperfections. Good general condition, very minor edge wear commensurate with it's age. Predominant French Poster Artist, Raoul ÉRIC Castel (1915 - 1997), began his career during World War II.

He was popularly known as "ÉRIC" and signed his work as such. He had the largest known number of Vichy travel commissions.

In the 1950's and 1960's he was highly sought after; especially associated with "Emprunt Acien". Throughout his life "ÉRIC" completed work for numerous travel and product companies such as Air France and Philips and designed iconic posters for a large diversity of companies including Tunis Air, Calor and many other clients. (literally Royal Philips, stylized as PHILIPS) was formerly one of the largest electronics companies in the world a Dutch multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Amsterdam. It was founded in Eindhoven in 1891 by Gerard Philips and his father Frederik, with their first products being light bulbs.

The mid 1950's was the beginning of a tremendous growth in the development of consumer electronics throughout Europe. Currently focused in the area of health technology, with other divisions being successfully divested.
